PEI I Have A Question for you

I have a question for you PEI, why do you exist as a province?

When you joined Canadian Confederation, not at Charlottetown but only later long after your sisters decided to give this Canada thing Macdonald was selling a try. You were late to the party but populous for the time and for some reason, we kept pretending you were relevant. Nobody since then has decided to tell you that you throw the balance of confederation off by a lot why should you have the same decision power in constitutional amendments as the titans that represent millions? Your Population is around 1% of the most populous province Ontario and your landmass is 0.1% of the country’s total landmass. Neither of these figures should indicate that you warrant any special treatment and should likely be (if the world was just) merged into your neighbouring provinces. I get the distinct feeling this idea would likely be strongly resisted by you though.

The hell our special boy has rought.

Maybe it’s the crowd, so Mr. Prince Edward Island I decided to use our wonderful electoral ridings to divide the country into divisions of roughly the same population as you! Frankly, the results make me want to gouge my own eyes out… You truly are a special boy because if we are to pretend that you deserve a province based on your population major Canadian cities would be home to several provinces. In fact, Canada would be home to 259 brave provinces that would cause the heads of school children to spin when they have to remember them and their capitals; just think of the hellish colouring sheets!
